Tina Azarvand, the founder of Azarvand Tax Law, has been recognized for her dedication and expertise in the field. For three consecutive years (2023 – 2025), she earned recognition on the SuperLawyers: Rising Stars list, an honor bestowed upon less than 2.5% of attorneys in each respective state. Additionally, she has been recognized on the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list. Her commitment to community service was highlighted when she received the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS) Young Volunteer of the Year Award in 2022.

Before establishing the firm, Tina worked as a Tax Attorney at a tax law firm and a Tax Manager at an accounting firm. In these roles, she assisted businesses and individuals with a variety of IRS and local tax matters.

Driven by a genuine desire to revolutionize the field of tax law services, Tina founded Azarvand Tax Law with a strong emphasis on client relationships and transparent pricing.

Tina holds a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Tina also holds a Bachelor of Science from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.

While in law school, Tina served on the Maryland Higher Education Commission’s Student Advisory Council, where she spearheaded the formation of the State’s first Student Tax Committee, where she focused on researching and addressing tax issues affecting Maryland students. Tina also held roles such as American Bar Representative (ABA), and she worked closely with the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) as their Student Representative within her law school’s Student Bar Association and as a Student Ambassador.

In addition to her academic achievements while in law school, Tina gained practical tax law experience through her work and internship experience. While in school, Tina worked as a Law Clerk and Student Attorney at the University of Baltimore Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. In addition, she worked as a Law Clerk in a tax law firm and completed an internship at the MVLS Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic.
