Gayle Fulbright started her career in the beauty business as a stylist 1975 in her home State of Michigan. Her dream was to move to California, and she did so in 1982. She ended up working in the very salon she eventually purchased after 5 years of working behind the chair as a stylist. This was just the beginning of what is now Headlines The Salon in Encinitas since 1987. 

Being a salon owner was not her dream, but after learning from some amazing mentors, it became her passion to give back.  “I love to make a difference,” not only behind the chair and not only with her team of 40 + employees, but also had the great opportunity to travel for 15 years as a business educator for Eufora International, teaching salon owners better business.
She retired from doing hair 5 years ago to focus on leading her team. 

Headlines is known in the community for its dedication to giving back; it is one of the salon's values. In the past 37 years, Headlines has been a part of many charities such as Hello Gorgeous, Beauty Changes Lives, and Childhelp USA, and now Gayle serves on the Board with Scott Buchanan for Hair to Stay, cold caps for women wanting to save their hair during Chemotherapy.  

Gayle is currently serving her 5th year with The Professional Beauty Association as an AC board member. Headlines The Salon is proud to have been honored 17 times as Salon Today Top 200.
