David Colonna is Co-Founder and Creative Director of The Maven and The Muse, Chief Strategist and Creative Director for Calligraphy Cut USA, and a dedicated member of the Board of Directors at Intercoiffure America & Canada. As Chair of the Resource Committee at Intercoiffure, David spearheads the creation of a dynamic knowledge library, harnessing insights from the industry’s brightest minds to empower future generations.

Known as a global educator and an AI x Beauty visionary, David passionately explores the intersection of technology and creativity, continually pushing boundaries to elevate the industry. He firmly believes in the philosophy that “what you project into the universe will inevitably return,” and embodies this principle in every endeavor.

David’s work is grounded in a powerful creative partnership with his wife and co-founder, Erica Stratton, whose shared vision and leadership help shape the culture and innovation behind every project they touch.

He also carries forward a strong sense of camaraderie and support, rooted in his military service, where he embraced the principle that no one should ever be left behind—a belief that continues to shape his leadership style today.

Outside the salon and stage, David is an enthusiastic yet admittedly terrible golfer, a devoted Trekky whose fascination with AI stems from his love of sci-fi, and caretaker to an energetic 4- year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who he affectionately describes as a full-time job.
